'HIS PLACE' MISSION STATEMENT

 ‘His Place’ is a family-oriented self-contained learning & event center dedicated to accurately “handling the Word of God” (2 Timothy 2:15) through education, worship, music and fellowship.  ‘His Place’ provides everything you need in the beauty of God’s creation to delve into God’s Word for an intensive edifying and comprehensive biblical conference or retreat.  We are committed to providing independent churches the ability to disciple like-minded brothers & sisters in Christ through the inerrant and infallible Word of God.

 
OUR VISION~

We envision ourselves as a body of believers desiring to prayerfully work together with the help to the Holy Spirit to build and strengthen the individual believers and groups of believers as God provides opportunity.

OUR PURPOSE~

The purpose of 'His Place' is to share the Gospel, equip and encourage families to grow by faith in their individual relationship with God.  We believe in the trinity- God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.  That Jesus, the only Son of God, was virgin born, lived a sinless life, was crucified for our sins, rose again, that those who trust in Him and repent of their sins will have eternal life.  We believe the Bible is the inspired word of God.

 
We PURPOSE:

        1. To Worship Joyfully. (Ephesians 1:11-12)

                 By knowing Jesus Christ in a personal relationship.

                        (John 1:12 and Philipians 3:10)

                By coming together to praise God joyfully.

                            (Psalm 95:1-3)

                By living in daily obedience to God’s Word

                        (1 Corinthians 10:31

        2. Build up Christians Continually

                        (1Thessalonians 5:11)

                By Teaching God’s Word, the Bible.

                        (2 Timothy 3:16-17)

3. Build Christians Continually

                    By caring for one another as a community of Christian       

                     friends.

                             (Hebrews 10:23-17)
 
                   By making disciples and disciple-makers

                        (2 Timothy 2:2 and Matthew 28: 18-20)

                By equipping Christians for Ministry.

                        (Ephesians 4:11-13

         4. Bring others to Christ Lovingly

                              (Matthew 28:18-20)

                By communicating the Gospel in our neighborhoods

                     And around the world.

                        (Acts 1:8; 5:42)

                By meeting the needs of people lovingly

                        (Matthew 9:35-10:8)

                By living a God-honoring life daily.

                        (Acts 16:23-24)

HIS PLACE LEADERSHIP STRUCTURE

HIS PLACE is a ministry of First Baptist Community Church of and falls under the leadership the FBCC Elder Board.

        HIS PLACE will be subject to all of the constitution and doctrinal statement of the First Baptist Community Church of Brookings.

HIS PLACE BOARD OF DIRECTORS:

        Sr. Pastor Dr. Ken Whitted & Mrs. Joy Whitted: Pastor of First Baptist Community Church of Brookings, Oregon.

        Youth Pastor Isaac and Mrs. Hoard, Pastor and Mrs. Hoard are the youth leaders of First Baptist Community Church.

        Lay leaders include: Amanda Martell, Curt Fox, Elder Kyle Kennedy.
